I am still keeping up with my daily picture project (mostly). Here are a few of my favorite images from February.

This lifestyle newborn session was one of my favorites in a while. I love getting the chance to peek into my clients’ homes and see how their family interacts in their own space. The connection that this family shared was really lovely. Their two-year-old little boy just became a big brother. He was so excited to talk about Star Wars and show me all of his books. And this little baby girl was just precious. The baby’s mom is an OB, and baby’s grandma is a lactation consultant, and I love breastfeeding, so of course we had to take some breastfeeding images and talk about birthy things. I believe these kinds of images, the ones that show real life as it is happening right now, are the ones that will be so precious to this family in the years to come. Congratulations to the M family on the birth of your daughter!

On January 1st, I started a project where I’m (supposed to be) taking a picture every day of 2016. I thought I’d quit after a few days like I’ve done in the past. In previous projects, if I missed one day, I’d just quit. This time I didn’t let the fact that I missed a day here and there stop me from picking up where I left off. I blame my friend (and amazing south Florida lifestyle photographer) Emily for this project. Blame is probably the wrong word. I thank her for it. She’s the one who brought the idea back into my awareness and also the one that is pushing me to keep pushing the button. She started talking about this project, and it sounded IMPORTANT. These are images of my children, my life, my heart… images that I will treasure in the future, more than I can even imagine now. This project makes me feel like I’m being pushed to be a better photographer and a better mom. These images of my children make my heart sing. I hope they will make you smile, too.

This little one was as cute as can be. We created the most beautiful album from her session, and her mom and dad also selected a stunning canvas to display in their home. These images make me smile! 🙂

This family was so much fun for their outdoor summer family session. These boys kept me on my toes and had me chasing them. What a workout! We visited a giant tree house, rolled down hills, and climbed trees. And in the middle of this session, mom had a surprise for her sons (Hint: not Disneyland)!
