This summer, I am participating in a special personal project called “The Public Breastfeeding Awareness Project” with my friend Leilani Rogers, Photographer. I will be joining photographers around the country who will be photographing mamas and their babies breastfeeding in public during their every day lives. One of these sessions could include a family outing to the playground, lunch at a restaurant, sipping lattes with girlfriends at a coffee shop, etc. I have a list of ideas for different scenarios, but the project will really evolve as each mother I work with will have her own real-life scenarios for nursing in public.

These photography sessions will be scheduled for various dates and times in June and July, and the images will be rolled out during World Breastfeeding Week in August. I am searching for mamas who are currently nursing babies or toddlers, or moms who will be delivering a baby in June or July and plan to breastfeed. If you are interested in joining the project, please contact me as soon as possible so we can discuss all of the details.

For more information, or to join The Public Breastfeeding Project, please call me at 937-241-7680 or email

I’m a busy mom of a 2 year old boy and a 4 month old girl. I have no choice but to nurse in public. So park, zoo, pool, check out line at the grocery…
