Right before Christmas, I got to photograph this fun family pajama session. I had so much fun shooting with a wide angle lens and letting the kids just be goofy!

Oh my gosh, I just love this family! Seriously, get a load of this little guy. Cutest baby ever + beautiful fall color + yummy light = one happy photographer. I cannot get enough of this little man! His soulful brown eyes just melt my heart.

Here he is with his proud parents!

My fave. Ever.

It rained on and off all morning on the day of my session with this family of four, but I am so glad we decided to risk getting wet and go out anyway. The light that afternoon was gorgeous, and we had a lot of fun playing and tickling and laughing. I love how much they love each other, and you can see it in these images. The love, the laughter and the light combined to make this magical family session.

I can’t believe how fast babies grow up. In one year, everything is different. Babies learn to scoot, then crawl, then walk. This little girl was one of the cutest newborns I have ever photographed, and by the time she was one, that was about the only thing that hadn’t changed – how utterly adorable she is! I love the way her little soprano voice says, “Doooo-RA!” when talking about her favorite cartoon character. I love her curls and her sparkly eyes and her little wobbly walk. I couldn’t look at her without smiling from ear to ear. She stole my heart all over again.
Here she was when I photographed her at eleven days old…
And just one year later… isn’t she just beautiful?

I can’t believe how full my life is. Full of love and light and laughter. We are so incredibly blessed. I am grateful for every ray of sunshine, every giggle, every tickle and hug, every moment with my boys. I can’t wait for Noah’s little brother to join us out here in the light!
I love this clover field we found a couple days ago. It is so beautiful back there.
