This little beauty was 9 days old at the time of her newborn session. She was 8lbs even at birth, but she looks so much smaller than that to me. She is so teeny, and she has such delicate features. I imagined her as a little spring bird, fresh in the nest. What a joy she was to photograph!
I can’t believe Claire is already one month old! It’s crazy how the last month of your pregnancy is sooooo slow, and the first month of your baby’s life is SOOOO fast! Here are some pictures of Claire when she was 9 and 10 days old.

This little one was my last session of 2011, and her newborn session was the perfect ending to a great year. And what a perfect beginning for these brand new parents! She is such a sweet little sleeping beauty. I look forward to many more newborn sessions just like hers.
When I photographed this baby and her mama, the weather and the light were perfect for an outdoor session. This newborn girl and her mom had such a connection. I am so happy that I was able to document their love. A new baby is such a blessing!
